Job Description
Educating almost 1,200 students from Reception to Year 12, Pedare is an independent, co-educational Anglican and Uniting Church day school founded in ****, situated at Golden Grove in the north-east of Adelaide.

The Chance:
n
We're looking for several passionate and motivated Upper Primary Teachers to join our team for the **** school year on a 1.0 FTE, 12-month contract. You'll report to the Head of School and be dedicated to inspiring and engaging students throughout their learning journey.
n
The role:
n
n
Have thorough knowledge of the subject matter to enable the course objectives to be taught
n
Set programmes and lesson objectives based on the Australian curriculum
n
Understanding of and experience in Guided Inquiry
n
Give feedback to students, encourage and involve students in class to enable them to fulfil their potential
n
Maintain control of class discipline to create appropriate work habits
n
Use appropriate assessment items and accurately record all marks and results for student assessment
n
Promote a trusting and caring approach within the classroom
n
Ability to relate well to students, recognising both the pastoral and educative aspects of the student-teacher relationship
n
Maintain an interest in the welfare of students and promote the wellbeing of students
n
Some out of hours may be required due to role requirements
n
Willingness to participate in extra curricular is required
n

What we need:

A current South Australian Working With Children Check (WWCC)
n
Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect (RRHAN) certificate
n
Current Teacher Registration Certificate in South Australia
n
First Aid and CPR Certificate (preferred)
n
Academic Transcripts and Degrees, Diplomas, Certificates, Statements of Service
n
n
All certificates and qualification(s) must be provided to the College prior to commencement of employment; and the College requires the applicant to disclose any information relevant to their eligibility to engage in activities involving children and young people.
