Senior Construction Lawyer – Senior Associate to Partner

An opportunity for an experienced Construction Lawyer to join a highly regarded specialist construction practice in Sydney, with genuine scope to step into a senior leadership position.
n
The firm is looking to speak with lawyers from Senior Associate through to Partner level who have strong construction law experience and are looking for high-quality work, autonomy and a clear pathway to progress.
n
The Opportunity
n
You will work across sophisticated construction and infrastructure matters, advising developers, contractors, consultants and other industry participants.
n Depending on your background, your practice may include:
n
n
Construction disputes and complex litigation
n
Security of Payment matters and adjudications
n
Contractual disputes, delay and disruption claims
n
Defects and building disputes
n
Construction contracts, procurement and project documentation
n
Risk allocation and project advisory work
n
Arbitration, mediation and other dispute resolution
n
Major development and infrastructure matters
n
n
For senior Partner-level candidates,



there is also an opportunity to play a key role in the continued growth and direction of the practice.

About You
n
You will ideally have:
n
n
Strong Australian construction law experience
n
Experience at Senior Associate, Special Counsel or Partner level
n
A background in front-end, back-end or a combination of construction work
n
Strong drafting, advisory and client management skills
n
The ability to manage matters with a high level of autonomy
n
Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in developing long-term client relationships
n
n
A portable practice is not essential for robust Senior Associate candidates. For Partner-level candidates, an established network or demonstrated ability to develop client relationships will be highly regarded.
