We're looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our Network Operations team on an initial 9-month daily rate contract, paying $750 per day (inc super). This is an opportunity to support and enhance a large-scale enterprise network environment spanning retail stores, corporate offices and data centres across Australia.
n
Working across technologies including Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco and Zscaler, you'll partner closely with infrastructure, security and cloud teams to ensure our network services remain secure, reliable and high-performing. You'll have the opportunity to make an immediate impact while contributing to the ongoing evolution of a critical technology environment.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining, optimising and modernising our network landscape. You'll support a diverse and complex environment, driving operational excellence, strengthening security, and helping deliver a seamless experience for our customers and employees.

What You'll Be Doing
n
n




Managing, maintaining, and patching enterprise firewall environments
n
Supporting switching, routing, wireless access point, and VPN infrastructure
n
Troubleshooting complex network issues and driving operational improvements
n
Ensuring network reliability, performance, and security across a geographically distributed environment
n
Supporting network compliance and security initiatives
n
Managing and supporting owned network tools and platforms
n
Collaborating with infrastructure, cloud, security, and project teams on key initiatives
n
Contributing to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement practices
n

What You'll Bring
n
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and bring robust operational network engineering experience within complex environments.
n
Ideally you'll have experience with:
n
n
Fortinet firewalls, VPN, switching, and wireless technologies
n
Palo Alto firewalls and VPN solutions
n
Cisco switching and network infrastructure
n
Enterprise network operations and support
n
Firewall lifecycle management, upgrades, and patching
n
n
Highly regarded:
n
n
Exposure to Zscaler
n
Experience working in large, regulated environments such as healthcare, financial services, insurance, government,



or other compliance-driven industries
n
Familiarity with network security best practices and governance requirements
n
F5 exposure
n
n
