A day in the life...
n
You're a driven Senior Communications Specialist joining our team to help shape the public profile of Australia's most-watched News and Morning TV brands and their people.
n
Based in Seven's fast-paced Sydney newsroom, you'll work across
7NEWS, 7NEWS Spotlight
and Morning TV (
Sunrise, Weekend Sunrise
and
The Morning Show),
partnering closely with presenters and news anchors, reporters, production teams and editorial leaders to identify opportunities, amplify major stories and deliver strategic communications campaigns.

Reporting to the
Head of Communications – News & Current Affairs, Partnerships and Community
, more specifically you will:
n

n
Develop and execute communications strategies and publicity campaigns across News & Public Affairs programs, presenters and reporters.
n
n
Identify and drive proactive media opportunities, while responding quickly to the daily news cycle and breaking news events.
n
n
Build strong relationships with media, talent, producers and key internal stakeholders.
n
n
Create high-quality communications materials, including media releases, briefing notes, pitches and internal communications.
n
n
Drive local community partnerships, events, publicity activations and promotional initiatives.
n
n
Monitor media coverage, audience trends and campaign effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations.
n
n
What will you need
n
n
n
Experience in communications, publicity, media or journalism, ideally within a broadcasting environment.
n
n
A genuine passion for news and current affairs, with strong news judgement and a keen eye for a story.
n
n
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
n
n
Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
n
n
A proactive, creative and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to think quickly and respond to emerging opportunities.
n
n
The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting where no two days are the same.
n
n
