The role is responsible for ensuring Council meets its statutory obligations while promoting a culture of accountability, transparency, ethical conduct and continuous improvement.
What you will bring to the role: Tertiary qualification in Governance, Law, Public Administration, Compliance, Business Management or a related discipline, and/or extensive relevant experience.
Extensive experience in governance, integrity, compliance, FOI, privacy or related functions.
Demonstrated understanding of local government governance and statutory responsibilities.
In-depth knowledge of the Local Government Act ****,



Freedom of Information Act ****, Privacy and Data Protection Act **** and associated legislation.
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in a customer-focused environment.
Strong legislative interpretation, policy development and strategic advisory skills.
Excellent analytical, investigative and problem-solving capabilities.
Experience leading organisational change, continuous improvement and cultural development initiatives.
