About the Role An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Insolvency Accountant to join an established Restructuring and Insolvency team.
Working closely with Managers, Directors and Partners, you will take greater ownership of insolvency engagements while developing your technical, commercial and stakeholder management capabilities.
The position offers exposure to a varied portfolio of corporate insolvency and restructuring matters, including liquidations, voluntary administrations and receiverships.
You will participate throughout the engagement lifecycle, from initial appointment and financial investigation through to statutory reporting and completion.
This is well suited to an insolvency professional looking for broader engagement exposure, increased responsibility and a defined pathway towards more senior positions within a recognised accounting firm.




Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day activities across a portfolio of corporate insolvency and restructuring engagements Assist with liquidations, voluntary administrations, receiverships and other formal appointments Conduct detailed investigations into company affairs, financial transactions and potential recoveries Analyse financial statements, accounting records, cash flows and business performance Prepare statutory reports, creditor communications, correspondence and supporting documentation Liaise professionally with creditors, directors, employees, solicitors, financiers and other stakeholders Maintain accurate engagement files and ensure statutory deadlines and regulatory obligations are met Identify potential voidable transactions, recoveries and other matters requiring further investigation Assist senior team members with larger and more complex restructuring and advisory engagements Prepare financial analysis and supporting schedules to assist with commercial recommendations Manage competing priorities across multiple appointments while maintaining quality and timeliness Review work completed by junior accountants and provide practical guidance and mentoring Contribute to internal knowledge sharing, process improvements and team development Develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders About You Approximately 3+ years of relevant Australian insolvency, restructuring or corporate recovery experience Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or a related discipline CA or CPA qualification completed or currently underway is highly regarded ARITA studies, qualifications or demonstrated knowledge of insolvency practice will be advantageous Practical experience working across corporate insolvency appointments Sound understanding of Australian insolvency legislation, regulatory requirements and professional standards Strong financial analysis,



investigation and report-writing capabilities Confident stakeholder management and professional communication skills Ability to manage multiple engagements, deadlines and competing priorities Strong attention to detail with a commercial and analytical approach to problem-solving Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a collaborative team Experience supporting or mentoring junior accountants will be advantageous Strong Microsoft Excel and general accounting software proficiency Australian Permanent Residency, Australian Citizenship or a valid long-term Australian working visa is required Applicants must hold valid Australian working rights as visa sponsorship is not available for this position As a mandatory requirement for this contract role, applicants are kindly asked to complete a compliance check and upload their work rights verification at **********************************.
