THE ROLE
This is an exciting and dynamic role whereby you will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of complex WorkCover claims, providing expertise in managing all aspects of return-to-work, and playing a critical role in developing, implementing and managing proactive strategies for long-term injuries both work-related and personal.
A key focus will be on psychosocial health compliance and best practice by supporting promotion and prevention strategies through to early intervention and effective injury/illness management across the organisation
As part of the role, you will be required to guide, coach and support People Leaders to ensure productive and effective return to work approaches are in place, work to identify and report on injury/illness trends and emerging issues and provide on-going support in both personal and work-related injury/illness management across the department.
A critical aspect of this role will be the ability to build productive working relationships with departmental staff, managers and external stakeholders including the departments WorkCover Agent, WorkSafe Victoria, the relevant unions and contract service providers.
Therefore, requires someone with sound stakeholder management experience, advanced report writing and analysis experience and presentation skills.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE
* Develop, implement and coordinate return-to-work strategies for WorkCover recipients through consultation with the individuals concerned, line managers,



rehabilitation agents, medical and allied health professionals, employee representatives, families and legal representatives and by participating in case conferences when applicable.
* Provide effective case management of injured staff including management of non-work-related injury/illness and cases with long term incapacity.
* Coordinate and provide high level advice, recommendations and guidance to key stakeholders for the effective management of claims and early intervention strategies with a particular focus on psychosocial injury.
