The Prospect An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Financial Controller to join a well established Australian consumer goods and retail business embarking on a significant growth journey.
Reporting directly to the CFO as the Finance 2IC, this role will play a critical part in strengthening the finance function, embedding robust controls and governance frameworks, and helping prepare the business for its next phase of expansion.
This is not simply a "steady-state" Financial Controller position.
The successful candidate will join a business that is investing in growth and requires a hands on leader who can build capability, improve processes and drive financial discipline while supporting a fast paced and entrepreneurial operating environment.
Key Responsibilities Lead all financial control, compliance and governance activities Oversee month end, year end and audit processes Manage treasury, cash flow forecasting and working capital outcomes Drive balance sheet integrity and financial reporting accuracy Strengthen internal controls, policies and finance processes Lead and develop the transactional finance team Partner with operational stakeholders across the business Support system, reporting and process improvement initiatives Contribute to strategic projects and business growth initiatives About You You are a commercially aware Financial Controller who enjoys operating in dynamic and evolving businesses.
Comfortable rolling up your sleeves,
you have the ability to balance strong technical capability with a practical, solutions focused approach.
