Systems Analyst Rusca Developments Pty Ltd · Full-time, permanent · $95,000 per annum plus superannuation About the business Rusca Developments Pty Ltd is an established Australian business that has built and operates its own enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, together with a suite of custom-developed applications that support our day-to-day operations.
Our systems are proprietary, built in-house and continuously developed around the way our business actually works — which makes this a rare opportunity to take genuine ownership of an enterprise platform rather than administer someone else's product.
About the role We are seeking an experienced Systems Analyst to join us on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to senior management, you will be the central point of reference for our ERP and its associated applications.
You will evaluate how our existing systems support the business, work with users across every function to define what the systems need to do, and produce the functional specifications from which our developers build.
This is an analytical role.
You will determine what the system must do and document it to a professional standard.
You will not be writing production code, administering servers or staffing a helpdesk — those functions sit elsewhere in the business.
Key duties Evaluate the existing ERP and custom-developed applications against business requirements, and analyse the processes, procedures and work practices they support across finance, operations, procurement and corporate services.
Identify inefficiencies, manual workarounds, duplicated data entry and control weaknesses in current systems,

and recommend improved business practices together with the system functionality needed to support them.
Work with users across all business units to elicit and document business requirements, and translate operational needs into agreed system requirements.
Develop detailed functional specifications for the internal development team, covering business rules, process flows, data requirements, validation, calculations, interfaces, security and access.
Apply data and process modelling techniques — process maps, data flow diagrams, entity relationship models and use case documentation — to produce clear system specifications for software design and development.
Create system test plans, test scenarios and acceptance criteria, and coordinate system, integration and user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and integrity of each release.
Prepare and maintain user, system and training documentation, deliver formal training to system users, and act as the central reference and information source in system project decision-making.
About you A Bachelor degree or higher in information technology, computer science, information systems, software engineering or a closely related discipline — or at least five years of relevant experience with relevant vendor certification.
At least three years of full-time experience as a Systems Analyst or in a closely comparable analytical role,

gained after completing your qualification.
A demonstrated record of analysing business processes and existing enterprise systems, and producing functional specifications from which developers have built working software.
Proven experience eliciting requirements from non-technical users across multiple business functions.
Practical skill in data and process modelling, including process mapping, data flow and entity relationship modelling.
Experience developing system test plans and managing user acceptance testing.
Working knowledge of relational database concepts and SQL, sufficient to analyse system data, validate business rules and specify reporting requirements.
Experience with internally developed or heavily customised enterprise systems, as opposed to vendor-supported packaged software, will be highly regarded.
Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce specification and process documentation to a professional standard.
What we offer A permanent, full-time position with a salary of $95,000 per annum plus superannuation, depending on experience.
Genuine ownership of an enterprise platform, with direct influence over its direction.
Direct access to senior management and to the developers who build what you specify.
A stable, established business with a long-term systems roadmap.
How to apply Please apply with your resume and a short covering letter outlining your experience against the criteria above.
Applications will be reviewed as they are received.
Only shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
Rusca Developments is an equal chance employer.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
