Job description The Company: This leading national service provider delivers large-scale operate and maintain, facilities management and Defence contracts across the country.
With a strong bid pipeline in front of them, they're looking to bring an experienced Estimator into the team on a contract basis to support upcoming tender submissions.
The Role: Working as a key member of the bid team, you'll prepare detailed and competitive estimates from first principles, partnering closely with Bid Managers, Commercial Managers and operational SMEs to build the most cost-effective delivery solutions for each tender.
The Duties: Prepare detailed and competitive estimates from first principles within defined timescales, in line with corporate procedures Engage with operational teams to build the most cost-effective delivery solution Review and interpret tender scope documents and pricing returnable schedules Develop labour rates referencing applicable EBAs or awards Prepare scope and pricing documents for subcontractors and vendors Evaluate contractor prices and validate quotations Provide value-add analysis to support informed solution and bid strategy decisions Participate in detailed risk assessment across all bids, quantifying and documenting risks and opportunities Support the hand-over of successful tenders into operations The Criteria: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant experience 5+ years' estimating experience in a relevant industry e.g. Facilities Management, Building Services or Technical Maintenance Strong communication skills, with the ability to break down complex, multi-dimensional problems into clear, actionable components Comfortable working under pressure and to strict timelines in a fast-changing workplace Advanced MS Excel skills Ability to work flexibly Adapt across multiple stakeholders The Benefits: Attractive contract rate 3-6 month initial term, with potential for extension Fully Remote working arrangements Opportunity to work on large-scale, high-profile national tenders Supportive, experienced estimating and commercial team If this sounds like you, please Apply Now by emailing Chelsea on ****** or submit your resume online and we'll be in touch for a confidential conversation!
