This is an exciting opportunity to join a prestigious private hospital in Sydney as a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) – Anaesthetics, where your expertise, leadership and clinical judgement will be genuinely valued.
You'll become a key member of a highly skilled perioperative team, working alongside experienced Anaesthetists, Surgeons and nursing professionals in a modern, high-acuity surgical environment.
The Opportunity As the CNS – Anaesthetics, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient care while providing clinical leadership, mentorship and support to the wider perioperative team.
You will be responsible for: Providing expert clinical care across the anaesthetic journey, including induction, maintenance and emergence.
Acting as a senior clinical resource and providing leadership, mentorship and support to nursing staff.
Managing patients undergoing a diverse range of complex and specialised surgical procedures.
Demonstrating advanced clinical assessment and decision-making skills in high-acuity situations.
Supporting airway management, haemodynamic monitoring, medication administration and emergency interventions.
Working closely with Anaesthetists, Surgeons, NUMs and the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and efficient theatre flow.
Contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement, risk management and evidence-based practice.
Supporting staff education, competency development and ongoing professional development.
Promoting a strong culture of patient safety, clinical excellence and continuous improvement.

About You We're looking for an experienced Anaesthetic Registered Nurse who is ready to take their career to the next level.
You will ideally have: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Significant recent experience within Anaesthetics / Perioperative Nursing.
Solid clinical knowledge across anaesthetic nursing practice.
Demonstrated ability to provide clinical leadership and support to colleagues.
Excellent communication, organisation and critical-thinking skills.
A strong commitment to patient safety, quality care and evidence-based practice.
Previous CNS, senior RN, clinical leadership or education experience will be highly regarded.
