About the role We're looking for a qualified Butcher to join the team in Nuriootpa and play an important role in delivering an exceptional fresh food offer to customer, with the potential to take on a leadership role within the team.
This is much more than simply preparing and cutting meat.
You'll have the opportunity to work with quality local products, create premium cuts and value-added lines, and bring creativity to an evolving butchery department.
You'll also be customer-facing, sharing your knowledge and passion for the product and helping customers choose the right cut or offering advice on preparation and cooking.
What you will do Prepare and produce a wide range of quality meat products to a high standard Create premium cuts, value-added products and appealing displays Contribute ideas and new products to keep the department fresh and innovative Work closely with artisan and specialist suppliers Build robust relationships with local suppliers and understand the products you are working with Engage with customers and confidently share your product knowledge Provide genuine,



knowledgeable and friendly customer service Maintain high standards across production, presentation, hygiene and food safety Work collaboratively with the wider butchery and store team Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and innovation What you will bring Trade qualification as a Butcher Robust experience within a fresh food or retail butchery environment Genuine passion for quality meat and the butchery trade Excellent customer service and communication skills Confidence speaking with customers and sharing your knowledge A collaborative approach and ability to work well as part of a team Pride in presentation, quality and attention to detail A professional, reliable and authentic approach Flexibility to work across a retail roster Weekend availability is essential What's in it for you?
