Due to continued growth, the Brisbane office is looking to appoint an experienced Health Lawyer at Senior Associate level to join its sophisticated and collaborative team.

Working closely with experienced Partners, you will advise and represent a diverse range of clients across complex health, medical negligence and regulatory matters.
Your work will include: Medical negligence claims,



including complex and catastrophic claims Professional conduct investigations and disciplinary proceedings Coronial inquests involving medical practitioners and healthcare facilities Advising health professionals and organisations in regulatory and investigative matters Preparing statements and submissions for regulatory bodies, government agencies and investigative authorities Medicare inquiries and complaints Royal Commissions and Commissions of Inquiry Health-related privacy and data breach matters Advising on Therapeutic Goods Administration requirements Managing matters through negotiation, mediation, alternative dispute resolution and litigation You'll have the prospect to work on technically complex and often high-profile matters, advising clients through sensitive and challenging issues while developing practical, commercially focused strategies for resolution.
The role offers significant autonomy, direct client contact and the opportunity to work closely with experienced Partners across a broad and sophisticated health law practice.
Who Should Apply?
The firm is ideally seeking a Senior Associate with experience in health law, medical negligence, professional liability or a related litigation practice.
You may come from a medical negligence background and be looking to broaden your practice, or already have experience across health, regulatory and qualified conduct matters.
You will also bring:



Strong technical legal skills and sound commercial judgment Experience managing litigation and/or regulatory matters Excellent drafting, advocacy and communication abilities A proactive and collaborative approach Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage complex and competing matters The confidence to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collegiate team setting Both full-time and part-time arrangements will be considered, with genuine flexibility available for the right person.
