About the Role Eldercare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Pathologist to join our growing allied health team and support the delivery of high-quality speech pathology services across our residential aged care sites.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside our Senior Speech Pathologist in a role focused on optimising swallowing care, communication outcomes, and quality of life for older Australians.
Working across multiple sites, you will provide specialist assessment and intervention for residents with swallowing and communication needs, including supporting urgent dysphagia referrals and complex clinical presentations.
You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, residents, families, and hospitality staff to ensure safe, person-centred care that aligns with best practice and resident choice.
Reporting directly to the Senior Speech Pathologist, you will contribute to the ongoing development of Eldercare's speech pathology service, supporting quality improvement initiatives,



training programs, and the implementation of evidence-based swallowing and communication practices.
You will also work closely with Food Services teams to support IDDSI compliance and promote safe dining experiences across the organisation.
This role is ideal for a Speech Pathologist with experience working with adult populations who is passionate about aged care, enjoys working autonomously, and is committed to delivering meaningful outcomes for residents as part of a collaborative and supportive team.
As a Speech Pathologist eligible for full membership of the Speech Pathology Association of Australia, you will play an important role in promoting safe swallowing and functional communication practices while empowering residents to maintain dignity, independence, and quality of life.
What You Will Bring Speech Pathology qualifications with eligibility for full SPA membership Experience with adult clients in acute, community, or aged‐care settings.
Knowledge of the IDDSI framework and its application.
Collaborative practice, with proven teamwork, communication, and negotiation strengths.
Confidence in educating others, working independently, and adapting to changing environments.
SA driver's licence and readiness to travel across Eldercare sites.
Solid digital literacy, including Windows and Microsoft Office.
