ERP Project Manager Initial contract duration - 9 Months Location of work Canberra, ACT Security clearance Must be able to obtain Baseline Our Federal Government client is seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major enterprise system implementation.
Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of an ERP implementation, from planning and design through to deployment and post-go-live support.
Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
Establish and maintain project governance frameworks and provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders.
Engage with business and technical stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
Manage relationships with vendors, implementation partners, and project resources.
Lead multidisciplinary teams including business analysts, change specialists, and technical staff.
Oversee data migration, testing, training, user adoption, and transition to business-as-usual operations.
Prepare executive briefings, status reports, and recommendations for governance forums.
Ensure project delivery aligns with relevant government policies, standards, and compliance requirements.
Essential Demonstrated experience delivering SAP S/4HANA implementation projects.
Proven experience managing complex ICT projects within the Australian Public Service or a similar government environment.
Strong understanding of full project lifecycle delivery,



including requirements gathering, design, testing, training, deployment, and post-implementation support.
Experience engaging with senior executives, steering committees, and governance boards.
Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
Strong risk, issue, budget, and resource management capabilities.
Understanding of corporate business functions such as finance, procurement, and human resources.
Relevant project management certification(s) highly regarded.
Knowledge of Commonwealth security and ICT governance frameworks is desirable.
