Our Tier 1 Mining Client is looking for an experienced Readiness Compliance Lead to join a major projects team in Perth.
Roster: 5/2 Perth CBD Start date: ASAP Duration: approx.
6 months - depending on client requirements Pay Rate: From $****** p/h + Super depending on experience Please note that only people with relevant experience will be considered and contacted.
The Role: This is a key enabling role combining compliance and obligations management with project management disciplines, including cost, schedule and risk.
You will ensure statutory requirements, government approvals, tenure and land access obligations are identified, assessed and embedded into project plans, processes and delivery schedules.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead the identification, assessment and management of project compliance obligations.
Interpret government requirements, legal obligations, codes, policies, standards and regulatory conditions.
Integrate approvals, tenure, land access and compliance requirements into the project master schedule.
Embed obligations into project processes, scopes, plans and work packages.
Review approvals and access strategies, regulatory pathways and associated conditions.
Manage compliance workstreams using sound cost, schedule and risk-management practices.
Establish and manage budgets, resource forecasts and cost commitments for compliance activities.
Work closely with planners and schedulers to understand dependencies, milestones and potential delivery impacts.
Identify interfacing workstreams and support schedule recovery where required.
Coordinate with technical and functional subject matter experts to detail and assess project requirements.
Identify and actively manage readiness and compliance risks, including escalation and mitigation.
Maintain strong governance, reporting and obligations-management disciplines.
Provide project leadership with clear visibility of compliance status, readiness, risks and performance.
Build effective relationships across large project teams and diverse stakeholder groups.
Relevant Experience: A bachelor's degree in business, commerce, law, engineering, setting or a similar field.
At least 10 years' experience within the mining sector.
Significant project development experience on large, complex infrastructure projects, potentially valued in the billions of dollars.
Demonstrated experience in project management, compliance, obligations management, risk management and approvals.
Strong understanding of statutory and government requirements, regulatory frameworks, legal obligations, codes, policies and standards.
Experience with project approvals, tenure and land access requirements.
A strong understanding of project controls,
including cost, schedule, risk and resource planning.
The ability to translate regulatory conditions and obligations into practical project processes, schedules and work packages.
Experience working with planners, schedulers and multidisciplinary subject matter experts.
Proficiency in enterprise compliance management systems.
Excellent stakeholder-management, communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience working across large, broad and complex project teams.
