Birds of Paradise Community College is seeking an experienced, motivated and dedicated Child Care Manager / Assistant Child Care Manager to join our leadership team.
This is a full-time position suited to an early childhood professional with solid leadership, organisational and communication skills and experience supporting the day-to-day management of an early childhood education and care service.
Key Duties Responsibilities Assist with the overall management and day-to-day operations of the early childhood education and care service.
Lead, support and supervise educators and other team members.
Support the delivery of high-quality education and care programs for children.
Ensure the service maintains a safe, welcoming and supportive environment for children, families, staff and visitors.
Support compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, the National Quality Framework and National Quality Standard.
Assist with staff recruitment, induction, rostering, performance management and professional development.
Monitor staffing arrangements and educator-to-child ratios.
Maintain required service documentation, records and administrative systems.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families and the wider community.
Assist with implementation and review of service policies and procedures.
Contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement processes.
Support effective management of complaints,
incidents, enquiries and family concerns.
Assist with management of service resources and operational requirements.
Work collaboratively with the Approved Provider, Nominated Supervisor and management team.
Promote a positive, professional and collaborative workplace culture.
Qualifications Experience Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or relevant recognised qualification.
Relevant experience within an early childhood education and care service.
Previous leadership, supervisory or management experience in an early childhood setting is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standard and Early Years Learning Framework.
Demonstrated ability to lead and support a team.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
AQF Certificate II or III, or at least one year of relevant experience (ANZSCO Skill Level 4) in relevant field Minimum of 1 year of work experience Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Team management skills Current Working With Children Check and other mandatory requirements applicable to the position.
