What we are looking for: We're looking for an experienced GIS Officer to join our corporate spatial team.
This role is suited to an established professional with strong spatial analysis, cartographic and spatial systems skills who can build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders while also working independently to deliver practical GIS solutions across a diverse range of business needs.
What your day will look like: Conducting spatial research and analysis Developing, implementing, and maintaining spatial datasets Producing high-quality maps, visualisations, and web mapping products Identifying opportunities to improve spatial systems, automate processes and deliver business solutions Supporting internal clients on strategic, technical, and procedural issues Undertaking audits and ensuring relevant documentation is accurate Please click here to view a full position description.
What you'll need for success: Current and significant experience as a GIS skilled, including spatial analysis, cartographic production, technical problem solving and the implementation of GIS solutions.
Advanced GIS software skills and a demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new spatial technologies, platforms, and workflows Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
able to relate to people with varying levels of knowledge What's nice to have: Experience in local government Experience producing planning scheme maps We understand that not all candidates will meet every selection criterion.
