Your Role
n
As an
Assistant in Nursing at Freeman House
, you will play an important role in supporting residents and inpatients throughout their treatment and recovery journey.Working alongside a caring and experienced multidisciplinary team, you will provide practical, person-centred care while helping to create an environment where people feel safe, respected and empowered.
Your Responsibility
n
n
Supporting clients with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, dressing, mobility and meals
n
Monitoring and recording vital signs, escalating changes or concerns to the clinical team
n
Assisting with admissions, discharges and associated documentation
n
Supporting the administration of medications and treatments under appropriate supervision
n
Providing reassurance, encouragement and emotional support to clients and their families
n
Maintaining accurate documentation and client records
n
Following infection control, safety and clinical care protocols
n
Working collaboratively with the broader team to deliver safe, high-quality care
n
You Will Need
n
n
Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or an equivalent qualification
n
AHPRA registration or completion of an approved Assistant in Nursing program
n
A compassionate and respectful approach to supporting people from diverse backgrounds
n
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
n
Knowledge of infection control and safe work practices
n
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
n
n
