nThis organization is the largest physician-led outpatient medical practice in the greater New York City metro area with more than 35 offices serving 500,000 patients per year. In addition to robust primary care offerings, they also operate specialty service lines in cardiology, pediatrics, dermatology, endocrinology, podiatry, behavioral health, and much more. Their staff of more than 400 physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants are supported by dedicated team members, with resources such as on-site laboratory and radiology services. They also have affiliations with local hospitals for surgical and related services. They are currently hiring due to growth.n
nPOSITION DESCRIPTION:n
nThe recent physician will diagnose and treat a full scope of ob/gyn conditions with a focus on improving patient outcomes.n
nSpecific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:n




n- treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periodsn
n- treat diseases of female organsn
n- perform cesarean sections and other surgical procedures as neededn
n- review patient historiesn
n- perform physical examinationsn
n- conduct/order diagnostic tests to determine diagnosesn
nProcedures and surgeries may include, but are not limited to:n
n- laparoscopic surgeriesn
n- open proceduresn
n- biopsiesn
n- cystoscopiesn
n- colposcopiesn
n- insertion and removal of subdermal contraceptionn
n- IUD placementn
n- intrauterine pressure catheter placementn
nA variable number of patients per day are seen, based upon setting, physician preference, and patient needs.n
nAll visits and surgeries are prepped and supported by dedicated clinical and/or surgical assistants.n
nThe practice uses the Epic EHR.n
nThere will be participation in an on-call rotation - the practice will provide details during initial interviews and there is some flexibility to the schedule.n
nREQUIREMENTS:n
n- New York medical licensen
n- DEAn
n- Board Certification, OB/GYNn
n- laparoscopically trainedn
n- 1+ year OB/GYN experiencen
