Senior Technology Project Manager - General Insurance
2 Positions 7-Month Contract Sydney
n Advance Thinking is seeking
two experienced Senior Technology Project Managers
to join a major transformation program within a leading General Insurance organisation.
n These are senior, hands-on technology delivery roles supporting the migration of
insurance products, policies and technology from legacy environments onto a strategic cloud-based insurance platform
.
n One Project Manager will align primarily to a
broker transformation stream
, while the other will support an
insurance product and business package migration stream
.
The Opportunity
n You will operate at the intersection of
technology, insurance, business and external delivery partners
, taking accountability for complex technology outcomes from discovery and mobilisation through to delivery.
n This is not simply a governance role. We're looking for experienced technology delivery professionals who understand the complexities of
data, policy and platform migration
, while being able to translate effectively between technology and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
n
n
Lead complex insurance technology projects
n
Drive discovery, mobilisation and delivery
n
Manage technology, data and policy/product migration activities
n
Develop and manage integrated delivery plans
n
Manage risks, issues, dependencies and project financials
n
Coordinate large multidisciplinary delivery teams
n
Work closely with external technology and delivery partners
n




Translate between business requirements and technology teams
n
Establish strong project governance and reporting
n
Build trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders
n
Ensure vendor-delivered outcomes integrate successfully into the broader program
n
Drive delivery through ambiguity within an early-stage transformation workplace
n
What We're Looking For
n
nWe are particularly interested in candidates with:n
n
n
Significant Senior Technology Project Management experience
n
General Insurance experience strongly preferred
n
Experience delivering complex insurance technology transformation
n
Strong understanding of data, policy and/or product migration
n
Experience delivering major platform transformation
n
Strong business and technology stakeholder management
n
Vendor and third-party delivery experience
n
Strong governance, risk and financial management
n
Excellent senior stakeholder communication
n
Guidewire experience highly regarded
n
Broker or commercial insurance experience advantageous
n
The ideal candidate will combine strong
technology delivery capability with a genuine understanding of insurance
, rather than operating solely at a governance or coordination level.n
