Account Manager for Small Business Advertising Sales

We are a friendly and vibrant publishing company based in Perth and require a new Advertising Sales Account Manager for our community magazines and online products.
n
The Company
n
We publish bi-monthly local community magazines across Perth which residents use to find local businesses and community groups close to their home. We are also launching exciting new online products later in ****.
n
Small to medium sized business advertise in our community magazines and we require Advertising Sales Account Managers to work with both current and existing advertisers.
n
The role is ideal for salespeople who enjoy working with small local businesses and want to be part of a friendly company that help local residents, businesses and community groups.
n
The Role
n
The position is full time and the Account Manager can work from both the Willetton office and from home if practicable.
n
Responsibilities will include:
n
n
Signing new advertisers
n
Write and create advertising content that generates outstanding advertising results with the assistance of our graphic designers.
n




Manage the advertising account over many years including re-booking their advertising space and managing their advertising content changes
n
Identifies new advertiser prospects for future community magazines in new areas.
n
n
The Candidate
n
The position is ideal for a salesperson who loves working with small business owners and building long term sales relationships.
n
The Ideal Applicant will have:
n
n
Minimum of five years in sales, preferably in advertising.
n
Experience with small business customers and their commercial needs.
n
Advanced sales skills including prospecting, building rapport, closing the sale and managing long term business relationships.
n
Working to a deadline.
n
A high degree of personal organisation.
n
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
n
The drive to achieve sales goals.
n
n
Experience in producing advertising copy and editorial writing is desirable but not essential.
n
The successful applicant will earn an attractive base salary plus bonuses for achieved targets. A car allowance plus laptop and mobile is included.
