The Role
n As an Intermediate Accountant, you will support a portfolio of large and complex clients across tax, accounting and business services work.
n Your responsibilities will include:
n

Preparing income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, companies and trusts
n




Preparing financial statements and detailed working papers
n
Preparing BAS and state tax returns, including payroll tax and land tax where required
n
Researching tax issues and assisting with draft advice for Managers and Partners
n
Liaising with the ATO, OSR, clients and other professionals
n
Supporting timely and accurate completion of client work
n
Working with contemporary systems including MYOB AE, Xero and Excel
n
Building your technical skills across complex structures and higher-value client groups
n
What You'll Bring
n

Accounting degree from an Australian institution
n
At least 3 years of experience in an Australian accounting firm
n
CA or CPA completed or underway
n
Strong understanding of accounting and taxation fundamentals
n
Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns for multiple entity types
n
Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
n
Motivation to keep developing technically and professionally
n
