Purpose As the Sales and Event's Executive you will ensure that conference inquiries smoothly transition into confirmed bookings, making the process from inquiry to confirmation a breeze.
You goal is to boost revenue, yield, and market share, all while keeping things light-hearted and enjoyable.
With each event, you will create memorable experiences that leave our clients smiling and coming back for more.
Hours: This position requires a commitment of a minimum of 20 hours per week.
Primary Responsibilities Respond promptly to all conference sales enquiries, sending proposals and following up with clients to convert enquiries into bookings Prepare proposals, contracts, and internal handover documentation accurately and in a timely manner Maintain effective communication with clients via phone, email, and in-person interactions Provide passionate, friendly, and courteous service to both external and internal guests Daily and weekly administrative duties including distribution of event orders, final numbers and change log reports Coordination of all internal events including offsite catering orders Conduct site inspections with potential clients as required Focus on achieving conversion targets, revenue generation,
and meeting budgets Assist the Sales and Marketing Manager and the Hotel Manager in identifying and implementing plans to address revenue opportunities Contributing to building and maintaining a protected workplace at all times, including your own practices and behaviours.
Skills and Experience: Demonstrated experience in a similar Conference & Events Sales, Sales & Marketing, or Hospitality management role, with Food & Beverage or Restaurant experience highly regarded.
A friendly, outgoing, and impeccably presented professional with a "find the yes" approach to customer service, passionate about delivering exceptional experiences and role modeling Accor values and our Heartist culture.
Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite alongside budgeting, cost estimation, and financial management skills, with knowledge of OPERA (Sales & Catering) and/or iVvy highly desirable.
A strategic planner adept at orchestrating a diverse range of events, negotiating favorable terms with clients and suppliers, and navigating complex stakeholder environments.
Superb written and verbal communication, outstanding multi-tasking and time management capabilities, a meticulous eye for detail, and an adaptive mindset that embraces change.
Full working rights in Australia (Citizen or valid working visa) and the flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, late evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
