Job Description With your experience, create an impact on our guests in this hands-on and detail orientated role Ensure our guests have a great dining experience and make holiday memories Staff accommodation availableWhat you'll do: We are looking for a full-time qualified Chef to join our team at Murramarang Resort.
This is a hands-on role working across our food and beverage venues, including our popular Beach Bistro, takeaway outlet, and conference and event operations.No two days are the same.
You'll work a variety of shifts across breakfast, lunch and dinner service, supporting a busy kitchen operation that caters to resort guests, locals, conferences and weddings.
This is a high-volume role, particularly during peak holiday periods and the summer season,
when Murramarang becomes a popular destination for travellers and special events.
You'll also work within established menu, recipe and food cost frameworks to ensure consistency and quality across all food offerings.On a daily basis your tasks will include, but are not limited to: Undertake general and specialised cooking duties to a high standardWork within established menu, recipe and food cost frameworks, ensuring consistency, quality and compliance with company standards across all dining venuesWork across a variety of dining outlets, supporting breakfast, lunch, dinner and event serviceMaintain food quality, consistency and presentation during high-volume service periodsMonitor the hygiene of food preparation areas, equipment and storage facilitiesAssist with stock control, ordering and minimising food wastageSupport conference, event and wedding catering operationsUnder the direction of the Head Chef, assist with kitchen management, portion control and supervision of junior team membersMaintain a safe and compliant work environment in line with food safety and WHS requirementsWhat you'll bring: Trade qualification in Commercial CookeryPrevious experience working as a qualified Chef in a busy restaurant, hotel, resort or functions environmentExperience preparing high-volume meals whilst maintaining quality and consistencyA sound understanding of contemporary Australian cuisine and contemporary food trendsExperience catering for conferences,
events or weddings will be highly regardedA passion for food, presentation and creating memorable dining experiencesStrong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environmentDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen teamPossess a DoFoodSafely Certificate of completionFlexible attitude to working a 7-day roster, including weekends, evenings and public holidaysImmediate availability or the ability to commence in the short term is highly desirableWhat's in it for you?
