You'll be joining an experienced and supportive payroll team at an exciting time, with the organisation currently preparing for a major payroll systems transformation.This is a stable business that values reliability, quality and getting things right, and they are looking for an experienced Payroll Officer who takes the same approach to their work.THE ROLEWorking as part of an established payroll team, you'll take ownership of a weekly payroll of approximately 450 predominantly manufacturing employees within a complex, fast-paced setting.Your responsibilities will include:Managing end-to-end weekly payroll from timesheet through to finalisationExtracting and reviewing employee hours from Kronos and processing through MicroPayMaintaining employee master data and processing payroll changesProcessing allowances, deductions, leave, manual pays, back pays and salary increasesReviewing audit reports and investigating payroll discrepanciesManaging workers compensation payments and reconciliationsCompleting payroll, superannuation, PAYG and deduction reconciliations and uploadsPreparing payroll tax across NSW, VIC and WAProcessing GL information and providing payroll reporting to FinanceResponding to employee payroll queries and liaising with external bodies including the ATO and CentrelinkSupporting the broader payroll team during peak periodsContributing to the payroll function as the business transitions from MicroPay to SAPThe role sits within a team of three Payroll Officers and a Payroll Time & Attendance Officer, so while you'll have ownership of your payroll,



you'll also have support around you.THE CANDIDATEWe're looking for an experienced Payroll Officer who is comfortable taking genuine ownership of an end-to-end payroll and understands the deadlines and complexities that come with a large weekly workforce.You'll ideally bring:Strong end-to-end payroll experience within a medium to large organisationExperience managing weekly payrolls, ideally within manufacturing, industrial or another award/EBA-driven environmentMicroPay experience will be highly regardedExperience with Kronos or another time & attendance systemSound knowledge of payroll tax, superannuation, PAYG, leave and payroll reconciliationsConfidence working with high volumes and tight weekly deadlinesStrong attention to detail and the ability to investigate and resolve discrepanciesA collaborative, team-focused approachThe confidence to work autonomously and take responsibility for your payrollExperience with SAP would be advantageous given the upcoming system transition, but it isn't essential.THE BENEFITSThis one will particularly suit someone who values stability, flexibility around their working day and being part of a close-knit payroll team.Circa $110K + Super, with some flexibility depending on experiencePermanent, stable opportunity with an established Australian businessFlexible start and finish times : 8:00am–4:00pm, 8:30am–4:30pm or similarSupportive and experienced payroll teamOwnership of a substantial weekly payrollExposure to a major MicroPay to SAP transformationTime off in lieu available where additional hours are requiredOpportunity to work within a complex 24/7 manufacturing environmentFive days onsite, ideal for someone who enjoys being part of the team and close to the operationIn the first instance please apply online for additional questions please call Keryn Drew or Debbie Hannaford on .
