WHERE YOU'LL BE BASEDSumnerABOUT THE ROLEThis is a highly visible role with direct exposure to leadership.
You'll own the month-end close, bookkeeping and reconciliations for the dispensary business, manage the weekly sell-through invoicing and reconciliation back to the head entity, and act as a genuine business partner to the clinic business on budgeting, forecasting and process improvement.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with Australian accounting standards.
Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and reconciliation.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights to support financial planning.
Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax return preparation.
Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and support business initiatives.
Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
SELECTION CRITERIA:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a mid-senior role.
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, CA) is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
