We're looking for a
Youth Worker
who
genuinely cares about young people and wants to be part of a team helping them
find their way forward.

Is this you?
You:
care deeply about young people and the challenges they face.
believe in meeting young people where they're at, without judgement, and
helping them feel heard and supported.
build trust easily and are comfortable having real conversations when
things feel overwhelming.
are comfortable working with complexity and understand that supporting
young people takes patience, persistence and consistency.
hold a tertiary qualification in Youth Work, Social Welfare, Social Work
or a related field
are experienced supporting young people in community, health or social
service settings.
Your new role
You'll support young people aged *****
as they access headspace Ballarat, helping them feel welcome and supported from




the moment they connect with the service.
The role focuses on intake and
psychosocial assessment, providing brief interventions or short-term support,
and connecting young people with the services that best meet their needs.
You'll work closely with colleagues,
families, schools and community services, and contribute to group programs,
workshops and outreach activities.
As part of working in a funded service,
you'll also maintain accurate case notes and documentation.
