As the first point of contact for patients, visitors, doctors and staff, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive environment while ensuring the smooth operation of our busy hospital reception.

About the Role
Our Reception team operates:
Weekdays: 6:00am to 8:00pm
Weekends and Public Holidays: 8:00am to 8:00pm
As a Receptionist, you will:
Deliver outstanding customer service to patients, visitors,



doctors and staff
Manage phone, email and face-to-face enquiries professionally and efficiently
Welcome patients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression of the hospital
Support patient admissions and administrative processes
Provide clerical and administrative assistance to the wider Admissions and Reception team
Ensure information is handled accurately and confidentially
Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture
About You
You are a people person who enjoys helping others and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
You remain calm under pressure, communicate confidently and are committed to delivering a professional and compassionate experience for every patient and visitor.
Essential
Flexibility to work across a rotating roster
Exceptional customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Desirable
Previous experience in a hospital, medical practice or healthcare setting
Knowledge of private health insurance and patient eligibility processes
Understanding of medical terminology
Previous administration or reception experience in a fast-paced workplace
