We haul coal, intermodal containers, steel, and bulk commodities that keep Australia moving.An outstanding opportunity has presented itself for a Driver Trainer, with a current Cert IV in Train Driving and a Cert IV in Training & Assessment to lead train crew development, based at our Coppabella depot.What you'll do:Reporting to the Superintendent, you will deliver hands-on and classroom training, assess competency, and work closely with supervisors to ensure protected, high-performing operations.Plan, prioritise and deliver compliant technical driver trainingTrain, assess and mentor train crew to meet Rail Safety Worker competency requirementsDevelop and manage individual training plans aligned to operational needsEnsure competencies, assessments,



currency and records are completed on timeWork closely with Operational Leaders and Training Specialists to ensure consistent outcomesPromote a strong safety culture and knowledge-sharing environmentWhat you'll bring:Proven experience as a Mainline or Mentor Driver (currently accredited)Strong track record of safe locomotive operationsCurrent Cert IV in Train Driving (please upload during application process)Cert IV in Training & Assessment (TAE)Strong commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvementAbility to coach, assess and mentor others effectivelyIntermediate computer skills (MS Office and training/compliance systems)Clear and confident communication skills at all levelsAt Pacific National we value the contribution of each team member.
