About New Acland Coal: /n

The New Acland Coal Mine (NAC), a thin seam open cut mining operation is owned and managed by New Hope Group. NAC is based 35km north-west of Toowoomba and plays a key role in the Darling Downs region as an employer and economic contributor since it began operation in October 2002.

/n

With stage 3 approved in 2022, the operation is set to continue production into the 2030s. When fully ramped-up, Stage 3 operations are expected to deliver about five million tonnes of saleable product per annum.

About the role: /n

As NAC continues to progress, we are seeking an experienced and motivated CHPP Maintainer Operator - Electrical to join the CHPP Maintenance Team on a permanent, full-time basis. Working a 7/7, day / night rotating roster and reporting to the CHPP Supervisor, the CHPP Maintainer Operator - Electrical plays a pivotal role in ensuring safe coal production and effective coal delivery.

What you will do: /n

/n

- Conduct routine and breakdown maintenance activities on CHPP electrical equipment and infrastructure

/n

- Operate, inspect and monitor both CHPP’s to ensure consistent performance and product quality

/n

- Participate in fault finding, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities

/n

- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site procedures and safety requirements

/n





To be considered for this opportunity you will bring: /n

/n

- Trade Qualifications within the Electrical Engineering fields

/n

- Previous CHPP operations or heavy industrial maintenance experience

/n

- Ability to conduct diagnostic troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of industrial pumping, sizing, screening and conveyor systems

/n

- Experience in the use of SCADA control systems for process control will be highly regarded

/n

- Experience with computer-based maintenance systems (desirable)

/n

- Ability to undergo and pass a coal board medical

/n

- Ability to work a 7/7 day / night roster including weekends

/n

- The ability to contribute to and work as part of team in a fast-paced setting
