Location: Mackay & Coalfields
Classification: Mining, Resources & Energy > Maintenance & Fault Diagnosis
Work type: Full time, Permanent
/n
The role covers site electrical infrastructure, high voltage reticulation and fixed plant maintenance, working as part of the site electrical team.

The role
/n
/n
- Permanent full time position with staff conditions
/n
- Salary package plus superannuation
/n
- 7/7 Roster
/n
- Drive or Bus from Mackay or Townsville
/n
- Camp accommodation, meals and site transport provided
/n
- Annual leave, sick leave and ongoing training support
/n
/n
Responsibilities
/n
/n
- HV switching, isolation and access permits in line with site electrical procedures
/n
- Maintenance and fault finding on reticulation, substations, transformers and switchrooms
/n
- Trailing cable installation, repair and testing
/n
- Fixed plant electrical maintenance including CHPP, conveyors and pumps
/n
- Protection relay testing, breaker maintenance and cable testing
/n
- Motor, starter and VSD maintenance and fault finding
/n
- Statutory inspections, testing and compliance record keeping
/n
- Compliance with the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulation
/n
/n
Requirements
/n
/n
- Trade certificate in Electrical (AQF Cert III) and a current Electrical Licence
/n
- HV Switching and Access Authority, current or able to obtain
/n
- Queensland Coal Mining Electrical Competency, or equivalent from another jurisdiction
/n
- Experience with site electrical infrastructure and fixed plant
/n
- Coal Board Medical, current or willing to obtain
/n
- Standard 11 Generic Induction, current or willing to obtain
/n
- Current C class driver's licence
/n
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen
/n
- Experience as an appointed HV Switching Operator or Coordinator
/n
- Protection and relay testing experience
/n
- CHPP or wash plant experience
/n
- PLC, SCADA or instrumentation exposure
/n
- Working at Heights, Confined Space or EWP tickets
/n
- ERZ Controller or Electrical Supervisor competencies
/n
