About the role

We are looking for a kind, calm and dependable live-in volunteer Caretaker to join our welcoming residential community. This role is ideal for someone who values a peaceful home environment and is happy to be onsite overnight to provide reassurance and respond if an emergency occurs. This is home to people living with mental health conditions. We are seeking someone who is compassionate, respectful and calm who understands the importance of privacy, dignity and feeling safe at home.

Free fully furnished accommodation will be provided on-site. The home is located close to shops, public transport and parks making it a convenient place to live.

Key responsibilities

- Be onsite overnight during the required hours of 10.00 pm to 6.00 am

- Respond calmly, practically and respectfully if an emergency occurs

- Contact emergency services,



management or relevant supports when required

- Communicate any incidents or concerns through the appropriate reporting process

- Close up the house nightly

About you

- Warm, compassionate, calm and reliable

- Comfortable living onsite in a shared residential workplace

- Able to stay composed and make sensible decisions in emergency situations

- Respectful and inclusive in your approach to people living with mental health conditions

- Able to maintain privacy, dignity, confidentiality and appropriate boundaries

- Current First Aid and CPR certificate, or willingness to obtain

- Medication management, or willingness to obtain
