Rocky Ridge is a family-farm brewery out of Jindong in WA's south west. We make bloody good beer, and we run venues that do it justice. Our Duncraig Taphouse pours 40 taps of our finest, has a great kitchen team and an epic bunch of locals.

We're after a full-time Chef de Partie to run a section in a busy, beer-centric kitchen — bold flavours, quality local produce, and food that stands up to what's on tap. No ego, no white tablecloths. It comes with beer training straight from our Head Brewer, Ross Terlick, brew days at the farm brewery in Jindong, and staff discounts on food and beer.

What we're about

We're looking to develop career kitchen crew. People who take pride in the plate, who move quickly, and who hold themselves and the section beside them to a very high standard.

The same plate goes out on a quiet Tuesday lunch as on a packed Saturday night. That consistency is the job. Not just getting through service, but maintaining the level the rest of the kitchen works to.

What you'll be doing

- Running your section — prep, mise, and service, to the same standard every shift

- Executing high-volume service without dropping quality or timing

- Working clean and organised, and keeping your section that way when it's on





- Keeping an eye on waste and portioning — food cost is part of doing the job well, not someone else's problem

- Assisting with cleaning and maintaining the kitchen to a very high standard

- Keeping an eye on the beer list, to see what dishes might pair well with them

- Contributing ideas — specials, produce, ways to make a dish, a process, or a shift better and more efficient

Who we're after

- Backs themselves on the pans and owns their section

- Sharp knife skills and a solid service rhythm

- Notices the plate that isn't quite right and fixes it before it leaves the pass

- Calm when it's slammed, switched on when it's quiet

- Reliable, locks in with the team, and understands every part of the process is significant

Proven Chef de Partie experience is preferred. What matters most is how you work in the team.

Where this goes

With three venues in WA, a venue in Brunswick VIC and a fourth WA venue coming soon, there's real room to move up within the group. We want to develop you — when openings arise we look at the people already in the team who can step up, before we advertise externally.
