We currently have a full-time opportunity available for an experienced cook to join our team. Are you a passionate and experienced Cook looking for an exciting chance to work in a agile kitchen? Food Idea Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled cook to join our team in Sebastopol, Ballarat 3356.

Primary Responsibilities n

n
- At the beginning of each shift, inspect all ingredients to ensure they are fresh and of high quality.
n
- Discard any substandard food items and log details for reordering.
n
- Complete daily preparation tasks to ensure there are enough for the upcoming serving period.
n
- Prepare meals for all courses.
n
- Cook menu items according to recipes and procedures, adding the right seasonings before, during, and after cooking.
n
- Determine the correct cooking times and temperatures,



adjusting ovens and grills to ensure food is cooked perfectly.
n
- Storing food stuff in refrigerators.
n
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary requirements, making ingredient substitutions as needed.
n
- Serve menu items in standard portions, ensuring an attractive presentation with garnishes and condiments.
n
- Follow health, safety, and food-handling regulations.
n

Key Skills and Attributes nn
- Relevant qualifications with at least 1 year of professional working experience as a Cook/Chef.
n
- Holds a trade qualification of Certificate III in Cookery or higher. Cert IV candidate will be preferred.
n
- Ability to focus in a pressured environment and manage the team effectively.
n
- Able to work independently
n

Job Type: Full-time Experience: Cook : 1 year (Required) - Experience in South East Asian cuisine will be given more preference Salary: $80,000 - $82,000 Per year Work Authorisation: Australia (Required) Work Location: In person
