n MineARC Systems is seeking a talented and hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team in Perth. Reporting to the Engineering
n Manager, you will play a key role in the design, development, testing, and continuous improvement of MineARC's innovative safety and technology products used across mining, tunnelling, industrial, and emergency response environments.
n You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop robust, reliable, and manufacturable products that operate in demanding environments.
The Role:

- Develop mechanical designs from concept through to production
n
- Produce accurate 3D models, assemblies and manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks
n
- Prepare BOMs, engineering calculations, specifications and design documentation
n
- Design fabricated, sheet-metal, machined, moulded and assembled components
n
- Ensure designs are safe, compliant, manufacturable and serviceable
n
- Take ownership of assigned design deliverables and complete them on time
n
- Conduct design reviews, risk assessments and design verification
n
- Support prototype construction, testing and production introduction
n
- Investigate design issues, production non-conformances and product failures. Work closely with Production, Electrical, Procurement, Service and Quality
n




- Apply MineARC's document control and engineering change processes
n
- Provide technical guidance and drawing reviews for junior engineers and draftspersons
n
- Communicate technical, cost and schedule risks early
n

About You: n
n

n
- Bachelor or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering
n
- 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer
n
- Advanced proficiency with SolidWorks
n
- Strong experience designing sheet metal, machined, fabricated, and plastic components
n
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, production methods, and design-for-manufacture principles
n
- Experience integrating mechanical systems with electrical and electronic components
n
- Practical problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail
n
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
