About the role

The Creative Communities team leads arts programs, place making projects and cultural initiatives that promote the creativity, diversity and vibrancy of the community and position the Inner West as a creative and cultural leader. The team is responsible for the production, co-ordination and delivery of creative initiatives, projects and programs to enhance community access and participation in the creative arts and culture.

Remuneration

$109,253.04 - $121,240.08 p.a. + 12% Superannuation

Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications

1. Tertiary qualifications in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences or related discipline.
2. Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing strategy, policy and research in a cultural context,



including providing input into cultural planning projects.
3. Demonstrated understanding and experience in collaborating with multiple stakeholders in the arts industry, community sector, cultural development and issues relevant to the creative sector, including partnership development.
4. Ability to assess community and sector needs and provide specialist advice, collaboration and support to arts, cultural and community organisations, groups and practitioners
5. High level communication skills, both verbal and written, including briefing, report, submission and presentation skills with analytical and problem-solving skills with the capacity to inspire or support innovative thinking, continuous improvement and strategic project delivery.
6. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment and to supervise contractors and consultants as required, and to lead strategic projects and influence outcomes across teams, partnerships and stakeholders in a complex organisational environment with the ability to produce work within established timeframes and with limited supervision.
