Volleyball Australia is seeking nominations for an Elected Director to join its Board as the organisation enters an significant period of governance renewal, sport growth and preparation for the coming Olympic cycle into Brisbane 2032.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the national direction of volleyball in Australia and help guide the sport through its next phase of development, including growth in participation, high-performance outcomes, commercial sustainability, member engagement, and the lead-up to Brisbane 2032.
The Board is particularly seeking candidates who can strengthen one or more of the following areas:
- Finance, audit, risk, compliance or integrity
- Commercial growth, partnerships, sponsorship or revenue development
- Sport system knowledge, Member State credibility or sport pathway experience
Candidates do not need to bring every capability listed. The Nominations Committee will assess nominations against the Board’s current skills matrix,
future capability needs and the requirements of the Volleyball Australia Constitution.
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute constructively as part of a skills-based national Board, exercise independent judgement, understand director duties, manage conflicts appropriately, and act in the best interests of Volleyball Australia as a whole.
This is an Elected Director position. Nominations must be made in accordance with the Volleyball Australia Constitution, including any required Member State endorsement and eligibility requirements.
