We are inviting applications for the role of Suicide Prevention Officer to work on a part time 9 day per fortnight basis at either our Northam or Narrogin office, with regular travel across the Wheatbelt region. This is a great opportunity to work within a dynamic and supportive team environment.

About the role

- You will work closely with Holyoake’s Suicide Prevention Coordinator with planning, developing, running, and evaluating events organised and attended in the field of suicide prevention.
- You will assist with the development and delivery of internal and external training events led by the Suicide Prevention Coordinator.
- You will contribute to community groups at a community level, addressing issues of suicide and self-harm.
- You will assist the Suicide Prevention Coordinator with program meetings and regular activities with partner organisations and government programs.
- You will stay connected and up to date with relevant services in the Wheatbelt region and identify trends and best practices in the area of suicide prevention.

About you

- You are passionate about community wellbeing and suicide prevention
- You hold or are studying towards a post-secondary qualification in a relevant field, or have demonstrated experience in the field of suicide prevention.
- You are able to build strong relationships and partnerships with a diverse range of people
- You have excellent communication and organisational skills
- You work effectively both independently and as part of a supportive team




- You value lived experience and community-led approaches
- You hold or can obtain a current National Police Clearance.
- You hold a valid driver’s licence and access to your own vehicle.
