About Mpower

Mpower is a well-established, accredited not-for-profit community-based organisation servicing South West Victoria. Established in 1975, the operation of Mpower has grown from a small voluntary service to an accredited agency employing more than 130 staff, providing a range of clinical and support services to over 1400 families regionally. Mpower now provides a range of disability services and community services and we specialising in supporting children, young people and families reaching their full potential.





About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide safe, consistent and person-centred support across our Out of Home Care and Disability Services programs.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting children and young people in Out of Home Care homes
- Assisting with daily living tasks, routines and skill development
- Supporting social inclusion, community participation and independence
- Building positive and respectful relationships
- Responding to behaviours of concern using therapeutic and person-centred approaches
- Completing accurate documentation and case notes
- Working across a 24/7 roster, including evenings, weekends, sleepovers, active nights and public holidays as required
- This is a hands-on role that requires confidence, adaptability and a genuine commitment to supporting others.

About You

We are seeking applicants who are:

- Passionate about supporting children, young people and people living with disability
- Able to build positive and trusting relationships
- Resilient and confident in high-support environments
- Strong communicators who work collaboratively within a team
- Calm, consistent and professional when responding to challenging situations
- Committed to person-centred and trauma-informed practice

Highly regarded:

- Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention
- Certificate III in Individual Support
- Certificate IV in Disability




- Experience in Out of Home Care, Youth Work, Disability Support or Community Services
