Skills Required:

- Minimum 5+ years in API Automation Testing, Postman (Automation),Jenkins (pipeline setup), Splunk, AWS(S3bucket, cloudwatch logs)
- Collaborate with software developers, QA engineers, and system architects to understand system functionality and design comprehensive API tests.
- Develop and maintain an automated API testing framework suitable for early testing in the development cycle.
- Create, execute, and maintain automated API test scripts to validate the functional integrity and performance of software products.
- Integrate API tests into the Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline, ensuring that tests are automated and executed with code builds.
- Promote and implement the Shift Left testing approach, bringing testing tasks earlier into the development process.
- Ensure that automated tests are part of the definition of done for all user stories.
- Analyze test results, diagnose issues, report defects, and propose regression tests to discover reoccurrences.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other team members in API test automation strategies.
- Keep up to date with the latest testing tools, strategies, and methodologies to improve test automation and efficiency.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an API Automation Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of API testing techniques and tools (e.g., Postman, SoapUI, REST-assured).
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, Python,



or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TeamCity, GitLab CI).
- Understanding of RESTful services, JSON, and XML.
- Knowledge of version control systems like GIT.
- Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Skills:

- Certifications in Quality Assurance and Agile methodologies.
- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their respective API management tools.
- Understanding of microservices architectures and how to test them.
- Working Conditions: Fast-paced, agile work environment.
