Maintenance Fitter – FMCG/Food Industry

Role: Maintenance Fitter

Rate: $45-52 an hour + 15% shift loading

Roster: Monday to Friday 2:30pm – 10:30pm

We are currently seeking a trade-qualified Maintenance Fitter to join a leading FMCG manufacturing business.

This is a outstanding prospect for a skilled fitter who enjoys a hands-on maintenance role and is looking for a stable Monday-to-Friday afternoon shift with a well-established company.

FMCG or food manufacturing experience is highly regarded, but not essential.

The Role

Working as part of a supportive maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring production machinery and equipment remains protected, reliable and operational.

Your responsibilities will include

- Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance
- Attending to breakdowns and mechanical faults
- Diagnosing and repairing production machinery
- Maintaining conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and pneumatic equipment
- Completing machinery adjustments, repairs and changeovers
- Assisting with maintenance projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Working closely with production to minimise downtime




- Ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently

About You

We are looking for a hands-on and reliable Maintenance Fitter who has:

- A recognised Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner trade qualification
- Previous industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience
- Strong mechanical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with production machinery and equipment
- A proactive approach to preventative maintenance
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A strong commitment to safety
- FMCG or food manufacturing experience – highly desirable
