Nine is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Growth Platforms to drive a consolidated product strategy across AI, search, newsletters, and third-party distribution channels. Reporting to the Head of Product - Publishing Platforms, you will play a crucial role in ensuring Nine Publishing's journalism remains discoverable, trusted, and citable wherever audiences find it.
You will own the strategy and requirements determining how Nine Publishing's unified platform ecosystem serves consumers engaging with our brands through AI agents, search, newsletters, aggregators, and emerging channels, ensuring content performance today while building toward AI-led discovery by FY28+.
Day To Day You Will
Define and execute the product roadmap for traditional SEO, Core Web Vitals, EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) signals, and AI agent navigation schemas (such as llms.txt, sitemaps, and RAG optimisation) across INKCORE.
Define and shape agent-ready content skills exposed via INK MCP (Model Context Protocol) and future Publishing MCPs, working directly with engineers on development.
Establish metrics and track KPIs for search discovery, LLM citation rates, agent-referred sessions, and MCP skill success rates to guide data-driven decision making.
Partner with Audience Growth, Commercial, and Editorial teams to deliver recirculation, newsletter, and third-party distribution strategies (e.g., Apple News) that maximise referral traffic and off-platform reach.
Qualifications What You’ll Bring
At least 6 years of experience shaping how digital content is found and trusted, working closely with product and engineering teams to achieve business goals.
Strong technical background in traditional SEO, EEAT authority signals, Core Web Vitals, and working with schemas.
Demonstrated experience with growth platforms, including GEO, LLMs, MCPs and RAG optimisation, and a track record of applying this to AI-driven content discovery and consumption.
Proven track record in managing complex technical product lifecycles within an agile environment, backed by excellent analytical, communication, and cross-functional stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge Of, Or Experience In, AIDLC Is Preferred.
