Sydney | Global Accessories Business | 12-Month Contract

We’re working with a global accessories business that is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Accessories Designer & Developer to join their Sydney-based team on a 12-month maternity cover contract.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established international business and play a key role across the design, development and delivery of accessories collections.

The Role

Working closely with the wider design, product and merchandising teams, you’ll be responsible for taking accessories from initial concept through to final product.

You’ll be involved across

- Designing and developing seasonal accessories collections
- Creating concepts, colourways, CADs and technical specifications
- Researching trends, materials, finishes and market direction
- Working closely with suppliers and manufacturers throughout the development process
- Managing samples, revisions and approvals
- Ensuring products meet the required design, quality, cost and commercial targets
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure collections are delivered on time
- Managing multiple product categories and projects across the development cycle

About You





We’re looking for someone with solid accessories design and development experience who understands both the creative and commercial sides of the process.

You’ll ideally have

- Previous experience in accessories design and/or product development
- Robust knowledge of accessories, materials, construction and manufacturing
- Experience working with suppliers and factories
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- A commercial mindset alongside strong creative capability
- Confidence working independently within a fast-paced, international environment
- Proficiency in relevant design and CAD software
