About the role

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Calamansi by Sarah Tiong in Cremorne, NSW. This is a full-time position betweeen Tuesday - Saturday that plays a crucial role in the day-to-day operations and success of our restaurant. As Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all front-of-house operations and collaboration with back-of-house, ensuring our guests receive exceptional service while maintaining the highest standards of food quality, safety and professionalism. You will work closely with our culinary team and staff to create memorable dining experiences and drive business performance.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including service standards, staff scheduling, training and performance management

- Maintain exceptional standards of customer service, ensuring every guest receives a warm welcome and attentive care throughout their visit

- Manage inventory, stock levels and supplier relationships to optimise costs whilst maintaining quality

- Ensure compliance with health, safety and food hygiene regulations and implement best practice standards across all areas

- Handle customer inquiries, complaints and feedback professionally,



implementing solutions to enhance guest satisfaction

- Work collaboratively with the culinary team to ensure smooth service, presentation standards and menu consistency

- Monitor and manage P&L; performance, identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency

- Recruit, train, develop and motivate staff to create a positive working environment and foster a culture of excellence

- Manage reservations, table management and special event coordination

- Ensure the restaurant maintains its ambience, cleanliness and presentation standards at all times

What we're looking for

- Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or in a similar senior hospitality management role, preferably within a fine dining or contemporary restaurant workplace

- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food and beverage service, health and safety compliance, and inventory management

- Excellent leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff

- Exceptional customer service orientation with the ability to build relationships and handle challenging situations with professionalism

- Solid understanding of financial management,



including P&L; responsibility, budgeting and cost control

- Proficiency with restaurant management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology

- Strong communication and organisational skills with meticulous attention to detail

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required in the hospitality industry

- RSA certification (Responsible Service of Alcohol) is essential

- Certification in hospitality management or food handling is advantageous
