About the Role

Little Malaysia Pty Ltd is a Malaysian restaurant based in Sydney. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Cook to join our kitchen team.

The successful candidate will assist in preparing and cooking a variety of Malaysian and Southeast Asian dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality, presentation and kitchen hygiene.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of Malaysian and Southeast Asian dishes.

- Prepare ingredients and assist with daily food preparation.

- Ensure meals are prepared consistently and according to restaurant standards.

- Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation.

- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic kitchen environment.





- Assist with stock rotation, food storage and inventory control.

- Work closely with other kitchen staff during busy service periods.

- Follow food safety and workplace health and safety requirements.

Requirements

- Relevant commercial cookery qualification or equivalent.

- At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook.

- Experience or good knowledge of Malaysian and Southeast Asian cuisine is highly regarded.

- Good understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques and kitchen operations.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

- Valuable communication and teamwork skills.
