Wagga Wagga City Council are seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our Sewer and Stormwater team!

- Permanent, full-time.
- Remuneration of $2,562.04 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $3,074.45 gross per fortnight + superannuation (12%).

Your new role:

In this role, you will assist the Team Leaders to ensure the provision of quality vacuum and jet plant operation in order to deliver high-quality maintenance of the City’s sewer, stormwater and flood mitigation systems.

As the Vacuum & Jet Plant Operator (Sewer & Stormwater) you will be responsible for:

- Assisting the Team Leader to plan and coordinate the sewer, stormwater and flood maintenance teams work activities including resources;
- Operating Council plant and equipment with an emphasis on HR truck operation including regular and thorough maintenance and cleaning of the plant and reporting on programmed works;
- Undertaking high pressure jetting operations including hydro excavation, vacuum loading and high-pressure water jetting/cleaning; and
- Undertaking general labouring and maintenance duties as required.

What you will need to succeed:

We are looking for someone with:





- Substantial experience relevant to the role including knowledge and experience with the operation of vacuum and jet plant, vacuum loading, jetting and cleaning of pipelines and culverts;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- An ability to work effectively in a team and independently;
- Class HR Driver’s Licence; and
- General Construction Induction Training Card (White Card).
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Controller Training Card.
- SafeWork NSW Traffic Implement Traffic Control Plans Training Card.
- Operating a Drain Cleaning System Training Certificate (Desirable).

In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation applicants are required to be vaccinated and provide evidence for Hepatitis A; Hepatitis B and Q-Fever.
