Lynas Rare Earths has a professional opportunity for an experienced and collaborative Maintenance Scheduler to join our Maintenance Department at our Kalgoorlie Rare Earth Processing Facility (REPF).

The Opportunity:

Working within this unique and highly specialised chemical processing environment, this scheduler position is pivotal in managing the short to medium term execution horizon, ensuring excellent schedule compliance and optimisation of the critical 0-to-4-week operational window for our Lynas Kalgoorlie operation.

This position is being offered on a 5/2/4/3, 10-hour shift roster, Kalgoorlie residential.

You will be responsible for:

In this critical role, you will own the master schedule—building and optimizing weekly, fortnightly, and circuit-specific timelines utilizing CMMS and advanced scheduling software. You will balance active multidisciplinary workforce capacity (Mechanical, Electrical, and Instrumentation) against the locked schedule, while leading weekly negotiation meetings with Production Superintendents and Process Engineers to secure equipment access and isolations. When high-priority plant breakdowns occur, you will dynamically re-optimize schedules to minimize churn and protect statutory compliance tasks. Additionally, you will manage parts staging and drive the planner handover process by assuming timeline ownership and providing vital feedback on data accuracy. Working closely with processing, mechanical, electrical, and engineering maintenance teams, the successful candidate will perfectly balance technical precision with an uncompromised commitment to safety.





The successful applicant will possess the following:

- Prior in-field experience in mining maintenance or heavy industrial environment with an in-depth understanding of process equipment
- Trade or technical background, either a formal Australian-recognized Trade qualification or relevant engineering degree or diploma
- Project Management or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional, equivalent qualification desired
- Excellent time management and strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, such as standard preventative maintenance and urgent breakdowns
- Project execution strategy and ability to identify task constraints
- Proficiency in CMMS platforms, specifically Pronto, and scheduling tools
- Ability to interpret plans and structural drawings
- Solid competency and soft skills, such as Microsoft Office Suite
- Unwavering approach to safety with positive understanding of WHS practices
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate across inventory, operational and maintenance teams
- Diplomatic negotiation skills to balance shifting production priorities with required machine maintenance




- West Australian C Class Manual Driver’s License (minimum)
- Full Australian working rights
- Must reside locally within the Goldfields region for our residential operation
- Maintain facial hair/jewellery to be able to pass a respirator fit-test as per AS 1715:2009 – clean shaven site.
