Introduction

The Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT) is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead our overall marketing and communications strategy. This dynamic role will focus on growing enrolments and strengthening our communications, PR, content, brand and creative initiatives.

Leading and supporting a multidisciplinary marketing team, you will bring different marketing functions together, develop creative campaigns and identify new opportunities across PR, partnerships, thought leadership and emerging or offline channels. You’ll also lead the content strategy, ensuring EIT continues to strengthen its visibility across SEO, AEO and AI-driven search.

You will work with experienced team members and specialists across marketing, technology and analytics to guide priorities, improve performance and ensure marketing activity is coordinated and aligned.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and drive EIT’s overall marketing and communications strategy, aligned with growth and enrolment objectives.
- Lead and support a multidisciplinary marketing team, including experienced team members and team leads.
- Lead communications, PR, content and brand strategy,



while identifying creative campaigns and new growth opportunities.
- Provide strategic oversight across events, website, social media, creative content, graphic design, video, paid campaigns, webinars and SEO/AEO. Day-to-day execution will be led by the relevant team leads and specialists.
- Use marketing data and performance insights to guide priorities and improve enquiries, conversion and enrolments.
- Remain willing to step into hands-on marketing activities when required, including during extended team absences or periods of increased workload.
- Collaborate with EIT’s technology team and sister entities on shared marketing initiatives and projects where required.

Ideal Background

This role would suit an experienced marketer looking to take the next step in their leadership career and gain broader responsibility across a diverse marketing function.

- 7+ years’ experience across marketing and communications, with ideally 2+ years’ demonstrated experience in people management and team leadership.
- Strong experience across communications, PR, content and/or brand.
- A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to support, develop and get the best out of experienced team members.
- Strong creative and strategic thinking, with a commercial mindset and the ability to use marketing insights to guide decision-making.
- A good understanding of digital marketing, including website, social media, SEO/AEO and campaign principles; hands-on technical expertise is not required.
- Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot is desirable.




- Experience within education and/or a tertiary qualification in marketing, communications or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.

Flexible Working

We offer a hybrid working arrangement following successful completion of probation, with the prospect to work from home up to two days per week. As this is a people leadership role, flexibility will be required based on team and business needs.
