Job Title: Cafe All Rounder - Lovedale Cafe

Position Overview

The Café All-Rounder is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while supporting the day-to-day operations of the café. This hands‐on role combines barista duties, food and beverage service, cleaning, and general café support to ensure a welcoming and efficient environment for patrons.

n

Only two minutes from Rydges Resort – Lovedale Café is perfect for planning your Hunter Valley adventure over barista‐made coffee or for a casual lunch. Lovedale Café is conveniently located in the Hunter Valley Visitor Information Centre just opposite the resort.

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.
n
- Take customer orders and process transactions accurately.
n
- Serve food and beverages to customers.
n
- Run food from the kitchen to guests promptly and professionally.
n
- Clear tables and maintain clean and presentable dining areas.
n
- Assist with café opening and closing procedures.
n
- Prepare and serve high‐quality coffee and hot beverages.
n
- Operate espresso machines and coffee‐making equipment.
n
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the coffee station.
n
- Monitor stock levels and replenish supplies as required.
n
- Wash dishes and maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas.
n
- Clean and sanitise tables, benches, equipment, and workstations.
n




- Sweep and mop floors throughout service periods and at the end of shifts.
n
- Comply with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety requirements.
n
- Work collaboratively with café and kitchen team members.
n
- Assist in maintaining a positive and productive team environment.
n
- Support café operations during busy service periods and special events.
n
- Availability in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
n

Skills & Experience

- Experience in a customer service or hospitality environment.
n
- Previous barista experience
n
- Ability to work in a fast‐paced setting.
n
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Reliable, punctual, and well‐presented.
n
- Ability to perform cleaning and manual handling tasks.
n
- Current NSW Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.
n
- Experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality venue.
